Account Information: Your email address (used for authentication via one-time passwords), full name, phone number, LinkedIn URL, bio, and profile photo.
Startup Data: Company information including name, description, industry, funding details, team composition, pitch decks, and traction metrics.
Investor Data: Investment preferences, focus areas, check sizes, geographic preferences, deal-breakers, and pipeline tracking data.
Usage Data: Pages visited, features used, startup profiles viewed, interactions with community posts, and timestamps of activities.
Cookies: We use essential cookies solely for authentication session management. We do not use tracking, advertising, or analytics cookies.
3. How We Use Your Information
We use your information to provide and maintain the platform, authenticate your identity via email OTP, facilitate introductions between startups and investors through our Connector system, display your profile to relevant parties based on your role and preferences, send transactional emails (OTP codes, team invitations, status updates), moderate community content, and improve our services.
4. Information Sharing and Visibility
Your data visibility is controlled by your role on the platform. Startup profiles are visible to Connectors and matched investors. Investor preferences are visible to Connectors for matchmaking but not to startups. Only your firm name and general focus areas appear in the public investor directory. Private pipeline data, notes, and deal-breakers are never shared. We do not sell your personal information to third parties.
5. Data Security
We implement industry-standard security measures including encrypted data transmission (TLS), row-level security policies on all database tables, secure session management, rate limiting on authentication endpoints, and restricted access controls based on user roles.
6. Data Retention and Deletion
We retain your data for as long as your account is active. You may request deletion of your account and associated data at any time by contacting us. Upon deletion, your profile, startup submissions, and associated records will be permanently removed within 30 days. Anonymized usage data may be retained for analytics purposes.

Depending on your jurisdiction (including GDPR and NDPR), you have the right to access your personal data, correct inaccurate data, request deletion of your data, object to processing, request data portability, and withdraw consent at any time. When payment features are introduced, all payment processing will be handled by PCI-DSS-compliant third-party payment processors. We will never store credit card numbers, CVVs, or full bank account details on our servers. Only transaction references and billing history will be retained.
